Types of help
We provide 3 types of therapy:
Entry level groups (Phase 1)
Quick first aid in a mental crisis
- Will help you stabilize your life
- Will give you the tools and energy to cope with the crisis
- Will help you understand how therapy works
- Will teach you many motivational techniques
- 10-12 people per group
For whom?
- People who are not sure what they need.
- People who need quick help.
- People in addiction crisis.
- Lonely people who need time and support.
The entry level group will not fix your world in two days, but it will give you the strength to start working on your problems. Imagine – would a group of 10-12 friends who support each other every week support you in your situation?

Therapy groups (Phase 2)
Deep focus on the root causes of your issues
- Everyone in the group works to support each other with similar difficulties - their basis is understanding and trust.
- A group led by an experienced, certified psychotherapist goes through a process aimed at full recovery.
- Therapeutic groups work on many aspects of mental health but focus On one topic - for example, domestic violence, depression, loss and other trauma.
- 6-8 people per group.
For whom?
- People who understand what causes them pain and want to work through and solve their problems.
- People who are ready to work as long as they need (the therapeutic process is long and requires many months of work).
- People who have gone through a crisis, trauma, depression, addiction crisis, etc. and they want to deal with their root cause.
- People with other difficulties that require greater involvement.
Group therapy, which we have been conducting for many years, is a very important part of our work. This is an extremely effective treatment method, although rare, because it requires extensive knowledge and involvement of the therapist. Our many years of experience confirm its effectiveness.

Frequently Asked Questions
These two forms of therapy are based on different assumptions. The goal, invariably, is to help you improve your well-being and regain peace – in individual therapy this happens through a therapist who focuses on you and presents a different point of view.
In group therapy, the therapist is still present to maintain and guide the therapeutic nature of the group, but healing occurs through mutual support and understanding among the members of your group. The main question to ask yourself when considering these two forms of therapy is: would I be able to talk about my problems to my friends who are in the same situation?
Each participant in the support group decides when and to what extent they want to share their experiences. We do not require anyone to do so, but we are always ready to support you. You decide how we can help you. Our guiding principle is “to provide safety and support” – by using our groups, you are assured that you will be in a safe and supportive environment.
At Yellow Scarf we always care about confidentiality and security-we have many ways to make you feel safe. If you want you can, for example, use a second/alternative name. The guiding principle of our groups is “first do no harm”. – by using our groups you can be sure that no harm will come to you.
Our Foundation has been in existence for more than a decade, and for more than 5 years we have been trying to establish a relationship with the NHS – despite our best efforts, the British system so far sees no need to provide separate treatments for people outside the UK.
We always try to make our services as affordable as possible – we are constantly looking for sources of funding for treatment for our patients.
Unfortunately, for 10 years we have not been able to cope with the number of inquiries we get – so we made the decision that it is better to help everyone cheaply than to help a select few for free.
Yes, we are constantly trying to find external funding to help patients most in need – free treatment options can be found under “Our Projects.”
Starting treatment requires commitment – first and foremost to oneself. Therapy is effective, as both research and our experience confirm – but the key element in its effectiveness is decision and persistence.
The basic form of treatment, the initial group, lasts 6 months.
The program of each group is tailored to the individual needs of the patients who participate.
If you have doubts about whether you are ready for this step, please – invest in yourself and start therapy when you feel the time is right.
Out of respect for us and others on the group, but most of all – out of respect for ourselves.
The main result of our work is to help people understand themselves and others. At the group you will not get ready-made answers and solutions – instead, you will gain the strength and support to find and implement them on your own. Most people who graduate from our groups see clear benefits – they change jobs to more fulfilling ones, make new friends, repair their relationships and find things that give their lives meaning.
You don’t have to know what you want right away – we’ll help you discover it during the group process.
Our support is here to work together to find the best solutions for you.
Despite our experience and professionalism, we are not always able to help everyone – it takes knowledge, willingness and commitment for therapy to be effective.
We offer top-notch therapy and qualified therapists, but if you feel that this is not the right time or that therapy is not working the way you want, we can try other methods.
You can also postpone therapy and come back to us when you feel ready.
The most important thing is to try to change what is causing the pain and work to improve your condition.
